ENGLISH PREPARATORY PROGRAM EXEMPTION CRITERIA
Dear Students,
Students who meet at least one of the following conditions will be exempted from the English Proficiency Exam:
1) To have one of the following exam scores in the specified type:

| 75 | 75 | 6.0 | 55 | 70 | C | B | 50 |
*Must be conducted by Agency for Assessment of Knowledge and Competences Under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
**Validity period of the language certificates is 6 years.
2) Having graduated from a high school (in Türkiye or abroad) whose language of instruction is 100% English and proving it with transcripts,
3) Transferring to a department/program at our university whose language of instruction is 100% English from a department/program in Turkey and/or abroad whose language of instruction is 100% English,
• In case of transferring to the first year, one should submit a B2 level document from the English Preparatory Program (or equivalent unit) of the previous university,
• In case of transferring to the 2nd year and above, submitting a signed/stamped transcript showing the courses taken in the department/program of the previous university where the language of instruction is 100% English.
*Candidates who certify that they have graduated from an undergraduate program (in Türkiye or abroad) whose language of education is 100% English with their transcripts will be exempted from the English language proficiency exam in their graduate degree applications.
**Candidates who have graduated from a master's program (in Türkiye or abroad) whose language of instruction is 100% English will be required to submit a valid language document during their doctorate degree application or take the language proficiency exam to be held at Istinye University.

TURKISH PREPARATORY PROGRAM EXEMPTION CRITERIA
Dear Students,
Students who meet at least one of the following conditions will be exempted from the Turkish Proficiency Exam:
1) Candidate's holding only Turkish Citizenship,
2) Holding a Blue Card
3) Having TÖMER or Yunus Emre Institute Language Proficiency Certificate at B2 level for undergraduate programs and C1 level for graduate programs (TÖMER certificates that are from all higher education institutions in Turkey except the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus is accepted.)
4) Graduating from a high school (in Türkiye or abroad) that provides Turkish education under the Ministry of National Education,
*Candidates who certify that they have graduated from undergraduate/master's programs (in Türkiye or abroad) whose language of education is 100% Turkish with their transcripts will be exempted from the Turkish language proficiency exam in their graduate degree applications.
