Asst. Prof. Hakan Darıcı visited the University of Thessaly within the scope of Erasmus+ Deha’s Medical Consortium Project.

Deha’s Medical Consortium, which has been established within the context of Erasmus+ Programme in collaboration with İstinye, Ankara, Hacettepe, Düzce and Sakarya Universities, offers internship and training opportunities at the reputable universities of Europe for our Medical students and academic staff. Faculty Member at the Department of Histology and Embryology, Dr. Hakan Darıcı had the opportunity to attend staff mobility program this year. He visited the University of Thessaly, its Faculty of Medicine, Department of Pharmacology and Research Laboratories in the city of Larissa, Greece.

Dr. Hakan Darıcı observed the studies conducted at the Research Laboratories, which were under the supervision of Dr. Konstantinos Dimas, and got some information by evaluating the studies of two Research Centers. He shared his experiences in Stem Cell, Tissue Engineering, 3D artificial tissue and organ models, which were carried out at Istinye University Research and Development Laboratories. Hakan Darıcı, who got information about the cellular studies carried out by the host researchers using Grafen molecules, managed to establish collaboration for future studies in artificial tissue which will be created in 3D printers by using Grafen molecules. Greek researchers also indicated that they would be pleased to visit İstinye University and involve in the studies carried out at our laboratories.

Currently, our three Medical students are studying at the research laboratories in Denmark, Germany and Belgium within the scope of the Consortium.
