International Student Transfer Application Process

International students who are currently studying at another higher education institution may apply to Istinye University as transfer students by requesting recognition of previously completed courses between universities.

Please carefully follow the steps below to complete your application process successfully.


1. Review Programs and Tuition Fees

Before submitting your transfer application, please review the available programs and current tuition fees offered at our university.

Please note that there are no scholarship or discount opportunities available for international students. All applicants are required to pay the current tuition fees published on our website. Tuition fees are the same for both freshman (new admission) and transfer students.

If the tuition fees are suitable for your budget, you may proceed with your application.


2. Submit Your Application and Upload Required Documents

Please visit the online application portal using the link below. During the application process, make sure to select the option:

“Are you applying as a transfer student?”

In order for your application to be evaluated, the following documents must be uploaded to the system:

  • Passport
  • High school diploma and transcript
  • Official university transcript (signed and stamped)
  • Detailed course descriptions/syllabus for completed university courses (signed and stamped), or the official link to the university’s website where the course contents are published

3. Faculty Evaluation

Once your documents are submitted completely, your application will be forwarded to the relevant faculty for academic evaluation.

Within a maximum of 5 business days, the faculty evaluation committee will compare the courses you have completed at your current institution with the curriculum of Istinye University and determine:

  • Which courses you will be exempted from
  • Which academic year and semester you will begin from at Istinye University

*Course transfer procedures can only be carried out for students transferring from higher education institutions recognized by the Council of Higher Education of the Republic of Türkiye (YÖK). Transfer applications from institutions not recognized by YÖK will not be evaluated.

**Exemption and class placement decisions are made entirely by the relevant Faculty Evaluation Committee. The International Relations Office is only responsible for forwarding the application to the faculty and does not have any authority or responsibility regarding the academic evaluation results.

***Applications with incomplete or missing documents will not be re-evaluated using the same documentation.


4. Result Notification

After the faculty evaluation process is completed, your transfer result and conditional acceptance letter will be sent to the e-mail address used during your application.

The result document will clearly specify, the courses accepted for transfer/exemption, the academic year and semester you are eligible to start from.


5. Acceptance and Final Registration

If you decide to accept your transfer result, you may secure your seat by completing the pre-registration payment indicated in your conditional acceptance letter.

Following the completion of your payment, an official acceptance letter will be issued. Final registration procedures must then be completed in accordance with the instructions stated in the official acceptance letter.
